Wagon Wheel Pizza Monticello: Social media making it hard to stay away…
San Juan County residents have recognized Wagon Wheel Pizza as a winner since 1984. When owner Susie Peebles opened up shop Ronald Reagan was finishing his first term in the White House, the internet was a 1 year old and a company called Apple had just started selling the first Macintosh computer. A lot has changed. But not the quality at Wagon Wheel.
The idea of making it all fresh is not new and certainly not anything Susie is going to stray from. Hand tossed and baked to perfection Wagon Wheel Pizza has become a landmark in Monticello. And if the social media posts are any indication Susie has a very loyal following. Wagon Wheel also offers up some of the best hot sandwiches (and soups on cold days!) your nutritional needs could ever require.
Our new turn to Social Distancing and current regulations from the state temporarily closing dining areas makes Wagon Wheel a no brainer. A good portion of the pizza Wagon Wheel turns out has long been sold as take out. Susie already has a product used to traveling home with you.
In researching this piece, online reviews came into play. The Yelp review was from Sam who lives in Rome Italy. 5 stars.
