Chimney Park / Horse Flat Trail (010)

Don't forget to take a moment to admire the stunning view of the steep white canyon to the west and soak up some much-needed shade while gaining elevation from the surrounding greener vegetation. Enjoy the moderate climb before the trail levels out for a few miles of rolling elevation. Don't be too relaxed though, as you'll be met with a sustained, steep climb up another ridgeline for the next mile.

Catch your breath and take a look over your shoulder at the beautiful vista below. While the climb doesn't stop, it does back off for a short section before making another steep, non-stop climb to the end of the trail where this route connects to an unnamed Forest Service Road.
