Cost $6   Wednesday, July 3 8:30am Mini-Madness Softball Tournament- Cost is $125 per team. Cost is $15 per person - 4 man teams. 10:00am to 5:00pm 5:00pm Shane Warenski Memorial Midnight Madness Softball Tournament- Located at the Old High School Baseball Fields. One-pitch co-ed tournament lasts all night & finishes “by dawn's early light”. Home Run Derby entrance fee $35, 1st place $100, runner-up $50. Tournament cost is $225 per team (max 24 teams), and registration must be received by June 25. 6:30am 5K Run (1 mile Fun Run at 7:15am)- Located at Centennial Park. San Juan Cross Country presents the Firecracker 5k; start and end at Centennial Park. Contact Race Director Holly Walker at [email protected] for more details. Packet pickup will be Wednesday, July 3 from 6-8pm on the lawn east of the Wellness Center. 8:00am Mayor's Prayer Breakfast- Join Mayor Lyman for a special patriotic program with guest speaker Bob McPherson. Music provided by the Grayson Girls. Delton Pugh will be selling breakfast for purchase beginning at 7:00- Bring your own chair.

10:30am July 4th Parade- Theme: "History of Freedom". Grand Marshalls are local Foreign War Veterans: Clisbee Lyman, World War II; Morris Swenson, Korea; Randy Bradford, Vietnam- Jason Workman Memorial Motorcycle Ride - Riders will kick off the parade preceding the color guard. 11:30am- Horseshoe Tournament- Located at Centennial Park - Begins immediately after the Parade. Sign up at the event $20 per team first come first serve. Contact Troy Palmer at 435-979-4182 for more information.

12:00pm Kids Games- Located at Centennial Park Baseball Field - Bouncy Houses, Water Games, Carnival, and Fun for Kids of All Ages. Games and fun by the Life Mission School for families. Tickets sold at event location. 12:00pm-4:00pm Axe Throwing Tournament- Located at Pops Burritos- Sign up at the event or at Pops Burritos. $12 per person. Children, separated into age groups, dive for coins on the bottom of the pool. Swim races are held by age group with prizes given to the fastest swimmers. 4:00pm-6:00pm Stan Bronson- Down From The Mountain Concert & 60th Anniversary of the DownBeatBand- Featuring Original Players Pete Black, Clyde Palmer, Dale Jones, and Stan Bronson - San Juan High Auditorium. General admittance tickets on sale at the door beginning at 3:00 pm. $10 age 21 and up. $5 age 20 and under.

7:00pm-10:00pm Concert in the Park- Located at Centennial Park - Free Admission, High Society -The High Society Party Band is a high-powered cover band in Utah that specializes in dance music. 10:00pm Fireworks Show- at Centennial Park. This year we will have the largest FREE July 4th fireworks show in Utah. Fireworks will be computer fired and choreographed to patriotic music. This is the finale of the celebration and not to be missed.FREEDOM, Something to Smile About - Orthodontics, Inc. Fireworks sponsored by Dr. Joe Wilson.

 

Friday, July 5

11:00am-3:00pm 5th of July, Fun in the Sun- Water Softball, Water Balloon Volleyball, horse shoes, food vendors and other fun activities for the entire family. This event is free to the public and sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce - Blanding Chapter. Event will be held at the park behind the south chapel (Central Park) from 11-3 followed by the Car Show.

4:00pm-7:00pm Rotary Club "Freedom Rides" Car Show, Chili Cook Off, and Navajo Taco Dinner 80 W 200 S (old swimming pool property)- Chili cook off judging at 3:30. Navajo Taco dinner $10 (taco, drink, & dessert). Car entry fee $10, admission to the public is free. Contact Ivan Carr to enter your car 435-485-0419.
